Web Developer

Professional profile.

With over four years of experience since graduating in developing and maintaining corporate and local business websites, I am a methodical and efficient Front and Back End Web Developer with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Previous roles have seen me involved in all aspects of the design and development of corporate websites and bespoke web applications. This experience has led to an excellent understanding of web languages and standards, such as PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and its various libraries, alongside core languages such as HTML and CSS.

Thanks to my University degree in Computer Science and E-Business, I have a core understanding of the essentials to programming and therefore can pick up new languages quickly. Hard-working, passionate, creative, enthusiastic and with an excellent eye for detail, I am now seeking to build on my experience and bring value to the right organisation.

Interests

As well as socialising with friends, I have a strong interest in watching sports and enjoy taking part in physical endurance events such as long running races and multiple discipline events.

In 2013 I partook in the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon, which involved 13 hours of physical exertion, involving a 1 mile open water swim, a 15 mile hike across 7 mountains, 7.5 miles of kayaking and then a 35 mile bike ride to finish off. In doing the event I raised over £800 for worthwhile causes. In 2014 I intend to do the Valencia marathon and several triathlons. I also enjoy running and volunteering at a local ParkRun event every Saturday morning.
